Alternative education can help turn weaknesses into strengths | Toronto Star

Whoever said "high school is the best years of your life" was clearly being sarcastic. I remember high school clearly. They were not the best years of my life. I suspect those are happening right now, as an adult privileged with autonomy, living in a safe and beloved country, among friends and family.

Jalaluddin: The case for siblings sharing a room | Toronto Star

My sons share a room. When we first bought our three-bedroom house, Mustafa was 2 years old and Ibrahim was on the way. The idea of two little boys sharing one large room just made sense. The third bedroom was earmarked for Ummama (Grandmother) who would be living with us.
